Love your stuff, man. Amazing perspective! I was curious.. Do you do color block-ins then do a clipping mask/lasso so every object is separate? Or do you just whack at it and paint/clean it up later? Just curious about your process/how you stay organized. Keeping control of big environments in terms of lighting and shadows boggles my mind still D: any tips?
I think in the most environment paintings, I block the main parts of the composition in seperate objects. When there are smaller things on such an object, I'll just paint and render them out in the normal way wiuthout an extra mask or something.
Tips? Hm... I don't know, since I almost never made environment studies or something in that direction. I probably learned it through observation in my daily life and great environmental experiences in my childhood. I also think studying the human figure gives you some knowledge about rendering everything too. Also, environment studies will probably help too.
