Cool! on another note: I often wonder what it would be like to actually play Zelda in a lead role. She's got some pretty sweet powers/moves too. I wish there was a game where you could play them both.
... after thinking about it a moment, I would venture that a game where Link gets kidnapped and Zelda has to don his equipment and save him would actually be a pretty fun game...
Having your sword strapped by your waist would actually be far effective and actually practical than to strap it to your back; you can't draw a sword from your back, especially the Master Sword that Link has as it goes down past his back. That would prove very difficult to pull out. Though, I'm not saying it would be impossible to draw a sword from the back because you could if you held the bottom end of the scabbard and then drew out the sword or if you had a much shorter sword.
I have to say that her shield is too small, and it appears to be one of those strap-on shields. From one particular source, strap-on shields are useless for individual fighting. They can do well in formation, especially when you look at bigger shields like the Greek Hoplite's Hoplon, but if you're the time of adventurer that Link is, then you might want a shield with a center grip. You can punch with it, block low blows and if it were slightly bigger than the shield here, you could blind your opponent with it.
